The Ossining Children’s Center Capital Campaign

An accomplished New York financial executive, Arthur “Art” J. Samberg led several ventures, including Pequot Capital in Connecticut and Hawkes Financial, LLC, in New York. Art J. Samberg also donated funds to benefit children in less-privileged circumstances. His charitable efforts helped the Ossining Children’s Center (OCC) in New York open the Rebecca and Arthur Samberg Building.

The Rebecca and Arthur Samberg Building of the Ossining Children’s Center (OCC) was opened in September 2020 at 32 State Street in Ossining. Mrs. Rebecca Samberg cut the building’s ribbon while representing herself and her late husband, Arthur Samberg. Mrs. Rebecca played an important role in the fundraising campaign for the construction project as a board member of the campaign. She fervently looks forward to seeing multiple children benefit from the quality primary educational experience offered at the building.

Rebecca and Arthur Samberg Building is a 27,000-square-foot facility that increases children’s access to the diverse programs and facilities offered by OCC. The building has indoor gymnasiums, large modern classrooms, and large indoor common areas. The project also created multiple outdoor recreation areas. These facilities are all geared toward promoting quality education in an environment that does not compromise opportunities to play, grow, and live healthily.
